Cette banque a connu plusieurs péripéties au cours de sa longue histoire au centre du village de Mansonville. De 1834, jusqu'au premier incendie en 1910, l'édifice appelé alors le Town Block fut d'abord la propriété de James Manson, puis de son fils David A. Manson qui le fit reconstruire et y donna son nom, Manson Block. Plusieurs commerces et bureaux s'y installèrent de même que la loge maçonnique St-Jean et, le 23 août 1904, la Eastern Townships Bank, avec comme premier gérant, un M. Hinch. En 1912, la banque prit le nom de Canadian Bank of Commerce. En 1923, le Town Block, abritant encore la banque, et alors propriété de George Holmes et de Frank Cowan, fut de nouveau détruit par un incendie.
La même année, la banque s'établit dans un nouvel édifice qu'elle occupe toujours. Elle prit le nom actuel de Banque Canadienne lrnpériale de Commerce en 1961, mieux connue sous l'acronyme CIBC.
This bank experienced several upheavals during its long history in the village of Mansonville. From 1834, up the first fire in 1910, the building known as the Town Block first belonged to James Manson, then to his son David A. Manson who had it rebuilt. lt was thereafter known as the Manson Block. Several businesses and offices occupied the building including the St John's Masonic Lodge and, on August 23, 1904, the Eastem Townships Bank with Mr Hinch as the first Manager. In 1912, it changed its name to Canadian Bank of Commerce but, in 1923, the Town Block then owned by George Holmes and Frank Cowan, and still housing the bank, burned down for the second time.
That same year, the bank moved to a new building, which it still occupies and took its present name of Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce in 1961, better known under the acronym CIBC.

Le Town Block de Mansonville vers 1910, aussi appelé Manson's Block. Le premier Hôtel de Ville fut construit en 1834; détruit par le feu, il fut reconstruit en 1910 par David Manson.
C'était un impressionnant édifice de trois étages en blocs de ciment manufacturés dans le village, avec une colonnade qui encadrait l'entrée principale.
