On August 17, 1990, the Association du lac Sopala suggested to the Council that the Polish name of this road, traditionally used for years, should be retained. In Polish, malinowa aleja means raspberries or where raspberries are found. The road is commonly called Raspberry Lane, and word has it that it was well named!
Le 17 août 1990, l’Association du Lac Sopala écrit à la Municipalité du Canton de Potton pour suggérer cet odonyme. Les résidants polonais de ce secteur l’appelait ainsi depuis longtemps. Malinowa-aleja, en la langue polonaise, veut dire chemin des framboises.[1]
