This sculpture, themed as 'Making my nest in Potton' is located on Vale Perkins Road and depicts an owl hovering over its nest, in which three young are waiting.  The owl refers to our majestic Owl's Head Mountain which overlooks Potton, and is of significance to the Abenaki.  The owl is also emblematic of Potton and found in many business names locally.  The tree, the owl and the nest were created from iron recycled from old farm implements, cut, forged and welded.  These rise from the centre of a spiral pattern, considered the core of many life forms, from cosmic infinity to atomic infinity.  This work was produced by the intergenerational team of Jean-Franà§ois Bertrand, artist-blacksmith, assisted by his son Gabriel MacLeod Bertrand, apprentice blacksmith, and by his father, Jean-Louis Bertrand, the project manager.

Cette sculpture réalisée en 2016 est une production intergénérationnelle de Jean-Franà§ois Bertrand, forgeron d'art, assisté de son fils, Gabriel MacLeod Bertrand, aide-forgeron, et de son père, Jean-Louis Bertrand, chargé de projet, une commandite du Comité culturel et patrimonial de Potton. Pour illustrer le thème “ Je fais mon nid à  Potton », c'est le hibou volant au-dessus de son nid qui a été retenu par le jury. Le hibou renvoie au mont Owl's Head, qui domine le canton de Potton, et aux Abénaquis. Encore aujourd'hui, de nombreuses entreprises portent fièrement le nom de Hibou ou Owl. C'est un des emblèmes du canton de Potton. L'arbre, le hibou et le nid sont fabriqués avec du fer recyclé provenant d'instruments aratoires, coupés, forgés et soudés. Ils sont au centre d'une spirale, schéma constitutif de nombreuses formes de vie, de l'infini cosmique à  l'infini atomique.
