It was on this road that the original farm belonging to Lionel Fontaine (1910-1963) was located, hence its name. He and his wife Éveline Gauvin (1911-1985) had two daughters, Lucille and Cécile. Lucille Fontaine married Willie Bombardier, Jr. The Fontaine girls walked from their farm on Fontaine Road to South Bolton for their schooling, according to Manon Bombardier, granddaughter of Lionel Fontaine.
Lionel Fontaine (1910-1963) est enterré au Cimetière catholique de St-Cajetan de même que son épouse, Éveline Gauvin (1910-1985).[1]
