Clark, Colline
Contenu
Clark Hill is located behind the original Samuel Clark family farm situated on Chemin Fitzsimmons, now owned by Garth Clark, son of Stanley and Lucetta Clark, great-great-great granddaughter of Hendrick Ruiter.
The Clark family in Potton are descendants of Hugh Clark, born in 1613, who immigrated to Massachusetts from England probably in the late 1630's. Seventh generation direct descendant, Samuel Clark “ removed to Potton, Canada ».[1] Samuel and his wife Sally Johnson had 10 children, from whom are descended the Clarks of Potton. Samuel Clark died in 1855 and is buried in the Chapel Hill Cemetery, however many of his descendants still live in Potton.
A History of Mansonville United Church, 1873-1973, authored by Mary F. Bailey, notes the contribution of several members of the Clark family in the early administration of the Church.

Philip I. Clark fut Recording Steward en 1896-97. La famille Clark était bien implantée dans le Canton à cette époque.[1]
