This tourist route was created in June 2007.  It crosses the Eastern Townships of Quebec along a suggested route of some 415 kilometers.  Distinctive signs indicate the route.  A map and accompanying CD with historical commentary is available for purchase at Tourist Offices throughout the region.  Chemin des Canton is known in English as The Townships Trail.  It emphasizes heritage buildings and natural sights to be found in each of the 31 municipalities the trail touches.  Along the route, 27 stops are suggested, with 8 side trips suggested for consideration.  The Chemin des Cantons crosses Potton and draws particular attention to heritage buildings located in Mansonville, such as the Round Barn and Manson House.
