The English translation of bosquet is “copse or grove” – many of which are to be found along this road.  In French, a bosquet generally refers to a small grouping or plantation of trees and/or shrubs, often used for decorative purposes, for instance, as a windbreak or in landscaping, to disguise the placement of utility buildings and the like.  The English translation of grove has a slightly different connotation but no matter, – there are trees involved!  Bosquet is a word that is derived from the Italian boschetto. ^[1]
