The Association was founded in 1990 to promote the natural, built and archaeological heritage of Potton Township. The Association has developed a program of activities including excursions to heritage and archaeological sites, walks, visits to museums as well as public lectures. At the same time, the Association has organized exhibitions of public interest, produced heritage folders and written numerous articles for the local and regional press. The successful completion of these projects is made possible in part through the financial support from the Municipality of the Township of Potton, the MRC de Memphrémagog, the Townshippers' Foundation as well as from several local businesses and industries.
Membership in the Association is open to all. Currently we have a membership base of some 200 members drawn from the local community, nearby urban centers and from former Potton residents now living abroad.

Fondée en 1990, l’Association du patrimoine de Potton (APP) poursuit ses objectifs sous trois volets : 1) une société d’histoire vouée à documenter et à diffuser les éléments du patrimoine local, 2) un lobby destiné à promouvoir les éléments du patrimoine auprès des instances publiques, et 3) un lieu de rencontre favorisant des échanges entre personnes partageant des intérêts communs en regard du patrimoine. Des conférences et des excursions sont organisées pour faire connaître les sites patrimoniaux de la région. L’Association compte de nombreuses publications imprimées et numérisées et organise des expositions thématiques annuelles. Le site Web de l’Association [www.patrimoinepotton.org] tient lieu de bulletin d’information pour les membres et offre une bibliothèque numérique exploitant le fonds documentaire et les archives photographiques de l’APP. On y trouve notamment les tirés à part de la revue Histoire Potton History et les présentations virtuelles des expositions antérieures.[1]
