The name of this road located in the Mierzwinski residential development honours Wladyslaw Mierzwinski, born November 7, 1919 in Poland and who died May 18, 1999 in Mansonville.  According to Chantale Mierzwinski¹, the surnames Mierzwinski and Marciniak are associated to a Polish family who fled the communist regime and emigrated to Canada in August 1962, settling first in the Province Hill sector.  Some years later, Wladyslaw Mierzwinski bought and resettled his family at 27, rue Bellevue, where he also opened a garage.  After the death of their parents, the four Mierzwinski children inherited the property; three of whom (John, Stanley and Edward) remain residents of Potton.  Two of the Mierzwinski family are business owners in Potton.

Le nom de ce chemin situé dans le développement Mierzwinski fait référence à  Wladyslaw Mierzwinski, né le 7 novembre 1919, en Pologne, et décédé le 18 mai 1999, à  Mansonville. Selon Chantale Mierzwinski¹, les noms Mierzwinski et Marciniak sont associés à  une famille polonaise qui, fuyant le régime communiste, a émigré au Canada en août 1962. Cette famille s'est installée à  Potton, dans le secteur Province Hill. Quelques années plus tard, M. Wladyslaw Mierzwinski a fait l'achat d'une propriété au 27, rue Bellevue qui est devenue la résidence familiale ainsi que le siège social du garage de M. Mierzwinski. Après le décès de Wladyslaw et de Kazimiera, la maison est demeurée la propriété de leurs enfants. Des quatre enfants Mierzwinski, trois (John, Stanley et Edward) résident toujours dans le Canton de Potton ainsi que les petits-enfants et un arrière-petit-fils. Deux d'entre eux exploitent leur propre entreprise au village de Mansonville.
