Saint-Cajetan, Cimetière

Contenu

The Saint-Cajetan Cemetery is located at the north end of the village of Mansonville, on Route 243.  It is in this cemetery that persons of the Catholic faith from over 20 nationalities are interred.  The first Catholic cemetery was located on Chemin West Hill, on land acquired from Albert Jones on October 8, 1882, now part of the Tomuschat farm.  In 1925, under the direction of curé Anselme Bois, tenth parish priest of Saint-Cajetan (1924-1929), a more central location was consecrated.  Stones from the old cemetery were moved to their present location.
