Richard-Jones, Chemin
Contenu
Another of Potton's roads named for an older family of the region. Richard A. Jones (1895-1983) and his wife, Bertha Sims (1898-1975), are interred in the Protestant Cemetery of Mansonville. It was on the farmland belonging to Richard Jones that Potton's famous 'Indian rock' and mill site were found. Chemin Richard-Jones is actually located somewhat further north, and branches off Carlton-Oliver Road. It has no outlet and leads to private properties on the lakeshore. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Jones had one son, Harry, now deceased.
