Revere, Chemin

Contenu

This name is in likely reference to Revere House, which was better known as the Château da Silva, built in 1870 in the area then known as Revere Clearing, however the origins of that name are not known.  The only pertinent reference is that, in 1864, a family by the name of Revere was living on Peabody Road.  Château da Silva was destroyed by fire in April of 1882 and never rebuilt.[1]

Ce nom réfère à l’hôtel du même nom, connu aussi sous l’appellation Château da Silva.

Construit dans les années 1870, cet hôtel a brûlé en avril 1882. The ice was unsafe and no one could come across to it to fight the fire, selon le journal personnel de Thomas MacDuff.[1]
