15. Cimetière OWL’S HEAD
Le cimetière Owl's Head, situé sur le chemin Owl’s Head à la croisée des chemins du Grand-Duc et Laliberté, repose au pied du mont du même nom. Il a été fondé vers 1845. Habitées par des cultivateurs, les terres environnantes du canton de Potton n'ont jamais constitué un village organisé, mais étaient un lieu idéal pour l'agriculture. On peut voir dans ce cimetière les tombes des familles Allen, Magoon, Brown et McCoy. Notons la vue spectaculaire vers les monts Sutton, à l’ouest.
15. OWL’S HEAD Cemetery
Owl’s Head Cemetery is aptly named, located at the foot of our grand mountain on Chemin Owl’s Head, nearly opposite Chemin Laliberté. The cemetery was opened around 1845 and it is still in use. In the shade of the century old maple found at its gate, the members of some of this region’s oldest families have found their eternal rest: the Allen, Magoon, McCoy, and Brown names are the most numerous. Views from Owl’s Head Cemetery are spectacular to the west.
